Our Aim
TheNetworker's primary aim is simple - to supply customers searching for onsite support with the skilled engineers able to fulfil their requirements.
As an example, they may require a Cisco Voice Engineer in Bristol, a Juniper security specialist in Manchester, a CCIE in London or an all round engineer to build a VPN and setup QOS for their WAN requirements in Cardiff. So if you're an engineer working in the network industry who is interested in building upon their current experience by working in varied customer environments or just in need of some extra income, all you need to do is signup to our service and we will advertise your skills to customers throughout the UK looking to hire onsite network engineers...and here's the best part, there are no monthly or signup fees, your use of this service is free!
What's in it for you?
Register now and in your personal control panel you will be able to set your own hourly rate, availability, manage your invoices, view any upcoming telephone interviews or assignments, see how many customers have viewed your and more. Because TheNetworker was created and built by engineers for engineers we realise how important and valuable specific skills and individual reputations are, so you won't be put forward for any work you cannot do based upon the information we hold about you in your profile. To give the customers further assurance we have a range of Optional examinations you may sit online to further validate your knowledge. Once you have completed our registration process, we will set your profile to live and customers will be able to receive your profile within their search results and select you for jobs.
Customer Assurance
One of the options we provide to customers interested in selecting you for a job is for you both to attend a quick telephone interview. When selected we will provide you both with the interview telephone number and the customer with your unique interview ID given to you upon registration. This is your opportunity to ask any questions relating to the job such as the technology involved or the amount of time they think the job will take.
Following the call, and if both parties are satisfied, you will receive notification that you have been successful and the job is yours, from that moment on it is your responsibility to turn up at the customers site at the agreed time.
Buying the time
Customers have two options available to buy your time depending on what you select in your profile area, these are BOOK NOW allowing the customer to book you immediately at your advertised rate, or BID allowing multiple customers to bid for your time starting from the minimum hourly rate you pre-enter in your profile area. Customers also have the option to REMEMBER the engineer they have used before, allowing them to use you again for a similar or different job if they liked you.
How much do I earn?
Well this is up to you and the hourly rate or minimum hourly rate you set depending on your own booking options you've set, the minimum time we allow engineers to be booked for is 2hours at a time and you receive 100% guaranteed of your chosen rate, meaning if you advertise your services at £20 an hour, the minimum you can make at any one time is £40 (+ VAT depending on your circumstances)
Ok I've finished the job, what now?
With the job marked as complete, we call you and the customer to make sure that everyone is happy with the outcome.
TheNetworker will raise the necessary paperwork on your behalf, request and if necessary chase payment from the customer. Once we have received payment from the customer we will automatically raise an invoice from you to us and the amount earned by you will be paid directly to you within three working days. If you are a contractor or your company is VAT registered this will be accounted for on your invoice, due to the legal ramifications your invoices can be viewed online or downloaded for your own filing needs for up to 7 years.
Obligations?
Engineers are free to complete as many or as few assignments as possible and because TheNetworker doesn't charge engineers to signup or stay registered with us, there are no penalties at all to only selecting one job a day, a week, a month or even a year.
Give TheNetworker a try and surprise yourself with a valuable new source of income.
